# I just logged into MetaTrader, but charts display a “Waiting for update” message. How can I fix this?

You will need to reopen the chart windows. It is a necessary first step after logging to the MetaTrader or when switching between different account types. Please follow the procedure below to fix it:



- Close all “Updating” charts

- Right mouse click on Symbols (Market Watch) window, and then “Show all” option.

- File >> New chart
